HELLO all! the busy week is finally over. and now i've got the time to blog again before i start on my japan posts! so this was a few weeks back, on my mother's birthday. we went to barks cafe for dinner. and it wasn't our first time going there. because the steak is really good. the chef cooks it so well. it really melts in your mouth... the more i think about it now, the more i feel like having a plate of it right now. yum yum yum...
our starters: mushroom fritters.. i cant rly remember what is it called. but it was good. yum yum yum. also, mussel with white wine sauce with a little bit of chilli. i freaaaaking love mussels. and this was so good too *slurps*
and the cray fish hor fun that is barks cafe's specialty if i'm not wrong! and my bf loves asian food. so he got this!
and my dish.. *slurps X10000* it may look small. but it's really much more than enough. my mom and dad ordered the same thing as me. and behold.. one of the best medium rare steaks on my list.
omg... can't even put to words how how HOW yummy this is. please go and try it. it is reasonably priced at $29.90. super worth it for such a yummy thing.
and my mom's favourite "birthday" cake. i prefer it this way as well. delicious, and no hassel. i mean, if you think about it, it's really much more convenient. you don't need to cut anything, you don't have to deal with left over cake (especially if its not nice). true? :D
it was a really nice and simple dinner. i really love the atmosphere of barks cafe and i would go back there again! oh, i almost forgot to mention that they have a live band as well, and it'll be a really great venue to celebrate somebody's birthday :)
so anyway, a few days later. while my boyfriend was working over the weekends, i managed to meet up with my long lost friends. and it was truly one of the funner nights i've had in a club ever since 2011 :3
