hello all!! for those who reads/ follow my formspring, should know that i got myself a new camera. and i wouldn't say its that big of a deal. but, i do like it and i've decided to do a quick review on it for those who are on a tight budget and looking for something reasonable!
firstly, i was looking for something more compact, because i'm crazy about small bags (always have been) and i would absolutely not lug my freaking DSLR out. credits to those people who really carry their camera everywhere they go. because its such a burden.. to me, smaller the better. and even the canon's G12 is not small enough for me.. LOL *not sure if expectation is too high..*
but yes, i did ALOT... of research on the camera i intended to get. i was looking for compact camera with a flip screen and able to take HD videos. so my options were pretty limited. so when i went down to the store, i got something else, but from the same brand. and its the Samsung DV300F, and it looks like this.
i find it pretty sleek and its only about 3.75 inches wide and 2.22 inches tall. and its really thin and convenient to just throw it into my bag! and if you're wondering like "where got flip screen sia.." speak no more manz. cus this has a front LCD display! almost as good as a flip screen! here's how it looks like with the LCD screen on.
cool right.. haha i don't rly like the front LCD, but if it works as well as a flip screen, why not right. so anyway, here are some sample shots which i took after i bought it.
1. FACE RETOUCH
i know i look damn bad here, but this was the best photo i had of myself using the "face retouch" mode. which mainly means like, it'll automatically clear my blemishes. but i rly do look like i have good skin here. haha
2. PHOTO FILTER (vignetting)
i rly like this effect. because it reminds me of the effect i had in my Olympus pen ep-1! i was pretty impressed by how the pictures turned out!
3. PHOTO FILER (fisheye)
the fisheye effect was.. meh.. alright i suppose. can pass la. haha better than G12's one tho!
4. PHOTO FILER (miniature)
after i took this picture i was like.. "woah... NOT BAD?!" LOL, this picture really has some quality man, looks quite pro too.
5. PROGRAM mode

6. FUNNY FACE
ok, honestly, i think i like this mode alot. i rly think its damn funny. like my bf didn't know i was using this mode and when i was trying to capture the pic i couldn't stop laughing.. LOL
the camera has a ton other features! and this camera has really quite alot of offer (esp for the price you're paying). one of the other things i like about this camera is that, if you own a smart phone, you can directly send pictures from your camera to your phone! it has like freaking wifi and its able to e-mail photos too!! and as first i thought that it was quite a lame function! but after i tried it, i thought it was pretty smart and cool. like lets say, you take a picture with your bestfriend and she really likes the picture, you can just send it straight to her handphone instead of having to go home and upload and all those troublesome stuff. it also has a self shot feature where u can trigger the capture button by just winking/ smiling!
but yea, thats about all i have to show for now! i have yet to really bring it out to the ultimate test! but so far, i'm loving it! for only $350, i think it was worth every penny. and i might even like it more than the G12 surprisingly ._. if you're interested, you could look for it at any Courts outlet!
All in all, i would rate this camera a 3.5/5!
so anyway, on a side note. you guys should know by now that i'm trying to do something different to my hair! which i'll be doing later (after this looooong post)! meanwhile, my hair is still incomplete and currently just super light brown. but its not obvious in photos.. haha

and my incomplete hair.. if you're wondering why its incomplete. its because i forgot to tell the lady i dyed my hair black previously. and the bleach/ dye couldn't penetrate and i had a photoshoot to do. so i didn't have time to get it done :'( but its okay. i have all day today to sit in the salon! and btw, if you notice in this picture. i've got two new moles!! i'm telling the whole world that i'm drawing fake moles on my face because i'm not gonna entertain anybody on my fs asking me if those are real or where they came from -_- i like the fake moles, i think they suit me. so thats my problem k!
