19TH 1

so i've finally got a chance to sit down infront of my compter with nothing to do and actually blog about my birthday. decided to separate it into three parts! so this post will be about my celebration with my family!

so this year i turned 19, the last year of my teenhood. and i've mixed feelings about it. hahaha actually, i think i don't really care. i'm not rly afraid to grow up. unlike some people who really can't stand being old like my sister. she's 21 this year. and she can't stop complaining!! hahaha i'm pretty okay with it tho.

but anyway, getting back on track, this year i turned 19 and i didn't throw a big party like i did last year. haha because 1. i didn't know what to do 2. when i decided on doing a bbq, it was too late to book because it was full :<

so anyway whatever, my parents brought me to this restaurant along river valley road called the tavern. and i loved it! it was really small and cozy, quiet too. it gave off this very homely vibe! haha

their big ass menu on display~ but we ordered the norm, 5 beef steaks, 4 medium rare and 1 medium

was served bread while waiting for our starters. i love bread like these so much. esp with butter. i love btuter so much i could just eat it on its own!! haha

so after a few photos, our starters came~ we ordered foie gras and escargot! and they were good! honestly on par with white rabbit!

after devouring our starters, they served us passion fruit sorbet to clean our taste buds! +1 for The Tavern!!! oh and btw, i totally forgot to mention that the service there is superb!! 

while we were discussing how many mushroom soups to order, we decided to order 3 and share amongst all, they went to the extent to pour 3 bowls worth of mushroom soup into 5 bowls just to save us the trouble!! and the foie gras as well, they deliberately cut them up into 5 pieces just for our convenience! +10 points for The Tavern!!!

and of course our main! which was really god as well, the beef was done in medium rare, was soft and melted in my mouth. just how like my beef done. esp when it's a little bit bloody!! omg.. feeling so hungry right now.. hahaha

and our happy faces after the dinner yum yum yum. only set back was that none of the desserts were appealing to me. and desserts to me is really important. no matter how much i eat, i will always save some space for an ice cream/ a brownie. but they didn't have that :<

but overall rating at The Tavern? 

9/10!!

i've no complaints other than no yummy desserts. everything else was just perfect! i'd rather come here than white rabbit since the price range is about the same!

BROWS

so about 2 weeks ago, i posted on getting my eye brows resurrected. and its quite a big deal to me because if you've followed my blog for a long time now, i've have mentioned MANY times that i have NO freakin brows. LOL so when Browhaus approached me. i was beyond delighted!! i'm sure all of you should know who they are by now! they're very renown! if you still don't know, google it! hahaha so when i arrived at Browhaus,

yes, their chairs are really comfortable and yes! you can listen to your own music during treatment to relax yourself!!

the after care products!!

so after clearing all my doubts and knowing what i'm getting into, i was ready to proceed with my brow resurrection!! my specialist and i spoke and discussed about what kind of shape i wanted, and the colour i wanted to have. later on when you see that my brow colour doesn't match my hair, its because i was going to dye my hair another colour within that same week. so he did my brows according to my intended hair colour!! hahaha

what he drew on for me using the pencil. (VERY WELL I MUST SAY.. LOOKS LIKE REAL HAIR LOL). so yeap, i decided to try something new rather than my usual arched brows, i tried something slightly thicker and less arched. and so, we're ready to get started!!

After the resurrection, aftercare products were applied~ and here is the end result!! it doesn't look THAT great because its slightly swollen and stuff, and trust me, the swell really did play a huge part in its appearance!!

30 mins after the resurrection! the strokes are really really refined and looks very very natural. i kept looking in the mirror and touching my brows cus i wanted to try finding my real brow hair LOL

2 days later, NO BROW MAKE UP AT ALL! and also matching my hair colour!! haha

thank you so much Jason for giving me beautiful brows!! i don't feel so fugly when i go out without make up now because i know that i at least have some brows! :D
