19TH 2

hey guysss. so in continual of my 19th birthday post, i'll be blogging about how i spent it with my friends. so i didn't really intend to do much since being 19 isn't really a big deal! so i just met up with my girlfriends for a nice meal at Wild Honey! and then a impromptu kboxing session with them. because kbox is always fun, day or night :D

so wild honey serves all day breakfast, which really is my favourite. breakfast at any time of the day can never go wrong. yum yum yum. sum photos below taken from Mae's blog~

and juz me lookin' all shy. cus my friends are like.. friggin screaming a birthday song for me. and the whole place was like "GOD WHAT IS GOING ON..." and i'm like "WTF MY FRIENDS!!!! PLS STOP!!!!" but i managed to sit thru the birthday song without dying. phew

19TH 1

so i've finally got a chance to sit down infront of my compter with nothing to do and actually blog about my birthday. decided to separate it into three parts! so this post will be about my celebration with my family!

so this year i turned 19, the last year of my teenhood. and i've mixed feelings about it. hahaha actually, i think i don't really care. i'm not rly afraid to grow up. unlike some people who really can't stand being old like my sister. she's 21 this year. and she can't stop complaining!! hahaha i'm pretty okay with it tho.

but anyway, getting back on track, this year i turned 19 and i didn't throw a big party like i did last year. haha because 1. i didn't know what to do 2. when i decided on doing a bbq, it was too late to book because it was full :<

so anyway whatever, my parents brought me to this restaurant along river valley road called the tavern. and i loved it! it was really small and cozy, quiet too. it gave off this very homely vibe! haha

their big ass menu on display~ but we ordered the norm, 5 beef steaks, 4 medium rare and 1 medium

was served bread while waiting for our starters. i love bread like these so much. esp with butter. i love btuter so much i could just eat it on its own!! haha

so after a few photos, our starters came~ we ordered foie gras and escargot! and they were good! honestly on par with white rabbit!

after devouring our starters, they served us passion fruit sorbet to clean our taste buds! +1 for The Tavern!!! oh and btw, i totally forgot to mention that the service there is superb!! 

while we were discussing how many mushroom soups to order, we decided to order 3 and share amongst all, they went to the extent to pour 3 bowls worth of mushroom soup into 5 bowls just to save us the trouble!! and the foie gras as well, they deliberately cut them up into 5 pieces just for our convenience! +10 points for The Tavern!!!

and of course our main! which was really god as well, the beef was done in medium rare, was soft and melted in my mouth. just how like my beef done. esp when it's a little bit bloody!! omg.. feeling so hungry right now.. hahaha

and our happy faces after the dinner yum yum yum. only set back was that none of the desserts were appealing to me. and desserts to me is really important. no matter how much i eat, i will always save some space for an ice cream/ a brownie. but they didn't have that :<

but overall rating at The Tavern? 

9/10!!

i've no complaints other than no yummy desserts. everything else was just perfect! i'd rather come here than white rabbit since the price range is about the same!

so if your gf's birthday is coming soon, this really is the perfect place :)

FOOD (again)

hello guys! i'm back to revive my dead blog. so to hurry catch up on posts. i'm gonna squeeze two posts into one. but its really nothing much tho. it was just celebrating father's day and a random dinner with the family. 

for daddy's day. we dined at white rabbit AGAIN. and i must say that it wasn't as disappointing as the first visit! but of course. i'm a boring pig and ordered the same ol shit again (steak). hahaha

the 500g wagyu beef!

sorry bout the overwhelming photos of the meringue. i was rly amazed by it and how they torched it and all in front of me LOL

so moving on, to another place i thin i've blogged about quite a few times. i used to come here pretty often with mae or shanice to eat after a photoshoot or smth. but i rly cant rmb the name of the place. but i know their aglio olio is one of my faves in singapore. i've tried MANY aglio olios in sgp. and i still think that this is one of the better ones!

if you're wondering, its like a lane behind haji and the place is quite dim and quite white. damn if only i knew the name of this place srsly. but i think they deserves more attention!!

so we started off with bruchetta which was pretty good to me! i liked it! 8/10

french fries, which was.. normal! 7/10

calamari which was quite ok. sorry i can't give anymore descriptive info because this was so long ago. i can barely remember what it tastes like hahaha. but i think it was good! I SUPPOSE! 

seafood aglio olio which was really good! of course because its my fave. hahaha 9/10!!

my dad's fish and chips which was surprisingly good because usually the fish and chips in sgp are mostly very wet inside (thats what he said) and soggy. or nothing but the batter. but this was quite alright. the fish was fluffy and the batter was crisp! 8/10!

my mom cabonara. which was nice too! it was really rich but a little bit too thick. so if u have a small stomach, i wouldn't recommend this for u unless you're planning to share! 7/10!

and the desserts? i rly dont rmb. but i think they were nice. cus it they weren't i would remember. hahah just that its not GREAT enough for me to rmb how does it taste exactly.

if you're wondering whats the price range, its about.. $15- $20! which to me is quite reasonable for the quality!
