MY LASIK EXPERIENCE

Hello guys!! I'm sure you should know by now that i recently got LASiK done!! Like just about a week ago? So i decided to do a post on it!

I've been wearing my glasses since i was primary 2, and never ever bothered about taking care of my eyesight. So the power of my eyes just rocketed sky high. It was a whooping 650. LOL.. yes i was as blind as a bat when i didnt have my glasses or contact lenses on. and of course, having glasses or contact lenses can be a real big burden and i wished for perfect eye sight all the time.

and this is me~ on the way to the clinic to get consulted!! and prolly the ONLY photo i'll ever post of myself in glasses, because i hate wearing it so much LOL.

so when i arrived, i had to take a series tests to see if my eyes were suitable to do LASiK, to see which procedure was the right one for me etc etc. first, they checked my eye sight of course!!

after checking my eye power, i was brought into another room where i had to test out another bunch of things, such as my eye's pressure, the thickness of my cornea etc!! the process was pretty quick and simple! just had to follow the instructions given!

after that, i was given an eyedrop to dilate my pupils! and while waiting for the drop to work its magic, i was told to watch a video to give me a better understanding on the different types of laser vision correct and how they're done!

after my pupils were dilated, i had to test my eye power once more before i could see the doctor!

finally we were done with all the tests! and fortunately, i was eligible for LASIK wooohooo! time to see the doctor and clear my doubts and ask qns!

So we discuss & the doctor found out that one of my cornea was too thin so we decided that with my special case, I will be doing ReLEx SMILE for one eye and LASEK for another! If you’ve never heard of ReLEx SMILE, it’s short for "Refractive Lenticule Extraction, Small Incision Lenticule Extraction".

I got my surgery done a week later, and it only took me a mere 30mins, and it was painless!! i mean there sure was some slight discomfort, but totally bearable! maybe you'll just feel a few tugs to the eye? and thats it!

after the surgery it was pretty hard to open my eyes because i kept tearing plus it was really sensitive to light, so i went home took my meds and knocked out for 19hrs in total LOL... longest time i ever slept in my whole life.

but when i woke up, i could see pretty clearly alr and it felt x10 better than the day before! i could even camwhore!! hahaha the feeling of having clear vision when i wake up.. just feels so amazing. its been more than 10 years since i could live without glasses. excuse my no make up face de hahaha

Here are some important information on ReLEx SMILE if you’re interested in getting it done! J

I hope this is more than enough information on ReLEx SMILE if you're interested!! i honestly feel that ReLEx SMILE is something very worth doing, and you should consider it if you have a super high degree like i did!! the feeling of waking up to clear vision just makes me feel so happy!!
